• Development of Java Card applications
• Contribution to effort estimation and project planning
• Supporting functional and security testing of Java Card operating systems and applications
• Familiarity and comfortable working with international standards
• Development and maintenance of personalization and test scripts
• Implementation and execution of on-card as well as off-card tests

Desired Skills and Experience

• Working experience in development of Java Card applications
• Knowledge on:
• Java Card Architecture, SW Architecture Design for Smart Cards
• Java Card applet development
• Smart card applications (Payment, eGovernment, Public Transport)
• Standards like Global Platform 2.1.x., 2.2.1, VISA, MasterCard, EMVCo
• Secure coding practices / methods and knowledge of cryptography
• Communication Protocols for smart cards (ISO7816, ISO14443, SWP)
• Experience in Software testing
• Interest in working in international team
• Good communication skills and fluency in English

Responsibilities:

• Determine database structural requirements by analysing client requests.
• Work closely with the application development team to design a database structure and performance tuning.
• Design a partitioning strategy for a large database.
• Define backup and recovery specifications for a large database.

Requirements:

• Able to simulate large database volume during application development.
• Development experience with advanced PL/SQL.
• Past experience with database replication technologies.
• Able to design for cached query results to simplify and speedup complex queries on a large database.
• 5 years experience with Oracle database and open source solutions like PostgreSQL.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
• Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
• Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
• Ensure resource availability and allocation
• Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
• Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
• Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
• Report and escalate to management as needed
• Successfully manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
• Perform risk management to minimize project risks
• Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

Requirements

• Very good educational background, preferably in the fields of computer science or engineering
• Proven working experience in project management in the information technology sector
• Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies
• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• PMP / PRINCE II certification is a plus
• Ability to travel internationally required
